Dooplaya District
Location
This District is located in the east of Burma.There are four townships in this district.They are Noh T' Kaw township, Kaw T' Ree township, Wau Ray township and Kru Tu township.
General Situation
The people there face a lot of difficulties from the oppression of the SPDC. Some flee to the neighbouring country and become refugees in Thailand and some hide in the jungle as the internally displaced persons (IDP). Many of the youths go to Thailand or other coutries to earn money to support their families. Very few of the youths stay in the district and 75 percent of youths are leaving.
Education
Under the rule of the Military dictatorship many youths do not have opportunities to get high education as it is so expensive for school fees. Many youths go to refugee camps to continue their studies.
KYO has a boarding house in Noh Poe camp and this boading house accepts only the students from IDP areas, those whose parents can not send them to school.
Occupation
Cultivation, farming and gardening are the important jobs for the people who are living here, but due to the SPDC attacking the villages and placing demands upon the villagers, the problems have been brought to the people there.
