Klerlwehtoo District

This district is called Klerlwehtoo District and it is located in the north of Karen State. The current situation in this district about education and health is so poor. People are suffering from SPDC offensives and the number of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) has increased every year. Villagers face the problems of food, health and education. When the SPDC came and entered the villages, they burnt down the houses, school and the buildings as far as they could.

Karen Youth Organization tried to organize the youth there and formed KYO committee. This is KYO district level. KYO conducts some training and already has done many activities such as supporting IDP boarding house, IDP humanitarian relief trip, providing short trainings to educate youth. KYO tries to find the way for youth to get opportunities and other needs. Now KYO is looking after two boarding houses: one for boys and one for girls.
